Expert in Plastic Medical Devices and Pharmaceutical Packaging in Europe​

 

• MPPE Regulatory Task Force: technical, regulatory & monitoring activities for the association members

  • coordinates the outreach with the EDQM, the body responsible for the maintenance of the European Pharmacopeia

  • prepares position papers on key topics (e.g. upstream supplier audits and hazardous substances)

  • provides a forum for members that wish to contribute to the positions and activities of MPPE

• MPPE Sustainability Working Group: Advise - Collaborate - Position

  • Foster the development towards a circular economy within the healthcare industry

  • Contribute to the Green Deal

  • Proactively engage in the development towards a more sustainable future

• Advocate in the European Union to present the interest of the sector group membership

 

• Coordinate industry actions at European level utilising the knowledge and experience of the MedPharmPlast Europe members with plastics medical devices and pharmaceutical packaging (e.g. informing the European Commission on the use of phthalates in medical devices to assist in the development of the guidelines for risk benefit assessment of these substances)

 

• Monitor the status of substances commonly used in medical devices and pharmaceutical packaging within REACH, CLP, Biocides and RoHS legislation

 

• Participate in the Medical Devices Coordination Group to influence regulations where it matters most

 

• Liaise with other associations and stakeholders important for our industry

 

• Provide regular information & updates on important topics concerning the industry to our members

 

• Organise two MPPE events per year:

  • MPPE General Assembly - for members & invited guests

  • MedPharmPlast Europe Conference - open to members & external companies

 

• Cooperate with & exchange within EuPC (European Plastics Converters Association)
